What shots does my dog need?
Hollywood Hill Animal Hospital vaccinates your dog on a yearly basis for Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. (DHLPP) Coronavirus is available upon request.

Rabies vaccine is given yearly or every three years depending on previous vaccine history.

Bordetalla, a vaccine that helps prevent “kennel cough”, is a good idea for dogs that are boarded, go to the groomer or are around other dogs at the park. It is a yearly vaccine, although some boarding facilities require it every 6 months.

We administer these vaccines after a complete yearly health exam.
What shots does my Puppy need?
The same as the adult dogs but they require a series of four DHLPPC vaccines given every 3-4 weeks starting at 7-8 weeks old. The first rabies vaccine is given at four months. Please check our Special Offers page for our Pre-Paid Puppy Program!
What shots does my cat need?
Cats require Distemper, Rhinotracheitis Calcivirus and Chlamydia. (FVRCPC) This is a yearly vaccine and given to all indoor and outdoor cats.

Rabies is a yearly vaccine for all indoor and outdoor cats and Hollywood Hill Animal Hospital uses the Purevax vaccine.

FELV (Feline Leukemia Virus) vaccine is a yearly vaccine and given to outdoor cats or cats that come in contact with outdoor cats.

We administer these vaccines after a complete yearly health exam.
What shots does my Kitten need?
The first FVRCPC vaccine is given at 8 weeks with a booster given 3-4 weeks later.

The Rabies vaccine is given at 12 weeks.

The first FELV vaccine is given at 8 weeks with a booster given 3-4 weeks later.

After the initial shots, vaccines are given on a yearly basis. Please check our “Special Offers” link for our Pre-Paid Kitten Program!

* At this time, changes are occurring in the recommended vaccine protocol listed previously for dogs and cats. During the yearly exam, the doctors will decide what vaccinations are needed and at what interval for your pets’ lifestyle.
