At Hollywood Hill Animal Hospital our goal is to provide your pet with the best possible medical care. We recommend twice-yearly exams and annual bloodwork, urinalysis, and intestinal parasite evaluation for pets ages seven and older. We are happy to offer our Mature Pet Plan, an affordable way to take care of all your pets senior health needs in one package.
Our Mature Pet Plan is designed to help detect any early irregularities in your pet’s health. This will allow your veterinarian to introduce treatment regimens, dietary modifications, and lifestyle changes to ensure a good quality of life for your pet for years to come. As pets age, they become at risk for a variety of conditions and diseases including dental disease, weight and mobility changes, hormone disorders (diabetes, thyroid conditions), osteoarthritis, and organ dysfunction.
Our Mature Pet Plan includes two wellness examinations, an intestinal parasite evaluation, a mature blood panel, and a urinalysis.
2 Wellness Examinations
Nose-to-tail physical examination of all body systems – cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, pulmonary/lung, urinary, eyes and ears, dental, neurological, coat/skin, abdomen, and weight assessment. During the exam, the doctor will not only evaluate the physical condition of your pet, she will also ask questions to assess any behavioral changes. This package includes two wellness examinations, allowing for semi-annual evaluation of your pet by a veterinarian.
Intestinal Parasite Evaluation
Microscopic examination of fecal material for intestinal parasites including coccidia, hookworm, roundworm, and whipworm.
Mature Blood Panel
The Mature Blood Panel includes a chemistry screen, Complete Blood Count, T4, and Amylase/Lipase. These tests will provide an assessment of your pet’s internal organs and their function. Often, the first signs of a disease appear on a blood test, before any symptoms occur. Catching these diseases early results in easier, more effective treatment.
Urinalysis
Microscopic evaluation of a urine sample will allow for detection of urinary tract infections, diabetes, kidney disease, and other illnesses.
